Saint John stations

Jim Robertson was asking if I had a photo of the first VIA station in Saint John. I'm not sure...

This photo was taken on June 28, 1980 by Art Clowes.

Now this photo was taken on July 6, 1994 and is the building that is still by Harbour Station (although it is not a VIA station).

The question is: is the first photo the same building as the second one?

Hey Steve, what's the status of the 2610? Are they painting it yet?

It sure looks it. Shape of the roof, the baggage doors, etc. It's definitely been modified from the original configuration but it has the lines of the first photo.

The first building is not the same as the second one, the first one was directly behind harbour Station , the second one was built closer to island yard then the first one was torn down, fi you were to stand at the same angle as the first picture the church in the background is not in the background of the second one

They are 2 different stations. The older was disassembled after the new one was opened officially Feb 10/84.
