Article on Sackville Station

There's a nice article on the Sackville railway station in the Sackville Tribune Post.

Here's a photo of the station just after Christmas, 1978, by Art Clowes. Notice the freight shed behind the station.

Hey Steve, I was talking to the guys who load the wdpulp fo av Nackawic here in McAdam and they said they will start shipping most of the product that presently runs by truck from Nackawic to Halifax in CN high capacity boxes. Hear anything? Jody

Hi Jody. Are you talking about the woodpulp from Nackawic that is trucked to McAdam, and then loaded in the MM&A boxcars? Or something that is shipped to Nackawic?

The wdpulp that is trucked to McAdam. According to them, AV Nackawic sends most of it from Nackawic to Halifax via truck. Apparently they may change that and ship it all by rail. There are already some high capacity CN boxes in the yard here. I guess they're not using the forterm in Saint John?

That would be great for NBSR if they did ship it via boxcars.
