I also came across these photos from around PEI and in Charlottetown from years gone by... The railway has been gone since 1989.

http://users.eastlink.ca/~othen/PEI/pei.htmlPraft66https://www.blogger.com/profile/12296189431576963454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18600515.post-25576978703229083842013-06-28T11:35:24.070-05:002013-06-28T11:35:24.070-05:00Thanks for the name of Founder's Hall and espe...Thanks for the name of Founder's Hall and especially the Google link. You can see that the building almost in line with the turntable is still present. I only moved to Charlottetown in 2003 from Summerside, and was born in '85 so I don't remember the railway, so I'm not as familiar with building locations as native ch'towners would be but it looks like the buildings likely have been moved at some point, specifically the small building was likely moved...

Great photo though!Praft66https://www.blogger.com/profile/12296189431576963454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18600515.post-87795652765739901922009-03-08T16:21:00.000-05:002009-03-08T16:21:00.000-05:00Looking at that picture, I'm trying to think of th...Looking at that picture, I'm trying to think of the exact location of it. I know that it's near the harbour, but so much as changed since the railway was abandoned, there's nothing to pin point the exact location, as it looks so different now (landmarks, etc.)Saintjohnrailfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15286533839032434279noreply@blogger.com
