The Rapid City sub was part of Canadian Northern and the CN main here was Grand Trunk Pacific so they would have had no reason to connect when first built. Once CN took them both over I don't believe the connection was ever made.Canadian Train Geekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05525092107895665275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18600515.post-5821839455589653332021-05-01T20:50:03.567-05:002021-05-01T20:50:03.567-05:00I am trying to figure out if the rail line from Be...I am trying to figure out if the rail line from Beulah connected to the CN main line at UNO.

I have an old map that shows this but I worked on CN and could never see where the old road bed might have been, except near UNO there were several small tracska and what might have been old road beds but I never had time to walk around there too much when we were meeting other trains.

You can see on google maps the line used to go west of Beulah and then curve north and then back south towards the CN main, It is not very far , less than a mile I think. But it has to get down the hill and could do so gradually in a few places to meet up with the CN.

Jeff GuarinoJeff Encantadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10625676225132550318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18600515.post-66680169425906811642016-05-28T17:32:26.923-05:002016-05-28T17:32:26.923-05:00Hi Michael, I'm guessing it was more from the ...Hi Michael, I'm guessing it was more from the spring thaw / rains than anything. That area of the province did seem to get more snow than Winnipeg did.Canadian Train Geekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05525092107895665275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18600515.post-39608735999451262022016-05-27T19:11:34.414-05:002016-05-27T19:11:34.414-05:00That road to McConnell looks like a causeway, give...That road to McConnell looks like a causeway, given the water on either side. I was focused on grain elevators and I feared that if I went to the trestle, I would hang around there and lose too much time. Someday I will see that bridge!Canadian Train Geekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05525092107895665275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18600515.post-15826000670018026112016-05-25T20:47:11.719-05:002016-05-25T20:47:11.719-05:00You were at Beulah, did you go to the Uno trestle?...You were at Beulah, did you go to the Uno trestle?
