It's Remembrance Day. Let us take a moment to remember the men and women who have served - and died - for our country to protect our way of life. We appreciate and remember you.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
- Ode of Remembrance
Thanks for reminding us to remember, Steve. It is so important. After some years of doldrums, attendance at services seems to have been growing for several years. Ottawa was wall-to-wall people, even down sidestreets as shown on CBC.
At our local RCHA service, we were not far from Brit Smith - noted localphilanthropist, former lawyer and former gunner who wears the Military Cross he was awarded in Italy in WW2.
