Here are a few recent NB Southern videos featuring the "new" leased power.
Dave Dineen aka NBSRfan shot HLCX 6318 and HLCX 8144 leading a fairly short train out of Saint John. The big cars on the head end are trash cars for the steel recycling facility now located in the Port of Saint John.
Gary Lee was in the cab of GMTX 204 in McAdam. I'd really like to get back to McAdam at some point as it is really hopping now!
Jason aka NB Green Machine shot a transfer freight within Saint John. The MP15DC GMTX 203 was ahead of "huff and puff", NBSR 3702 and 3703, and Geep NBSR 2610 was there for extra muscle. Apparently they almost stalled trying to get up Mill Street from Island Yard. Great video!
Doubleiron shot an eastbound NB Southern freight through Harvey. It had a quite colourful consist.
Gary also shot this sizable westbound freight in McAdam, headed by NBSR 2319, HLCX 6200 and MEC 354 in Pan Am colours.

Miss That NB Southern
I see lots of trains here in Winnipeg, and that's great, but I do miss the little green engines of the NB Southern Railway. Here's a few recent videos that were taken of the good ol' NBSR.
Dave Dineen posted this video of NBSR 9802 East from October 30.
Here's Matt's video of an NB Southern transfer train in Saint John a few months ago, also with 9802 and 2612, and 9801 in the middle.
Here's an old one I took, from March 2004, showing NBSR 2317 running light in its old yellow "Sunbury" colours.

Pacing Videos
It's rare to find pacing videos of trains. By pacing videos I mean shots where the train and the observer are moving side by side. You need two things: a road parallel to the tracks with few obstructions in between, and a driver. I haven't shot any pacing videos because I usually railfan alone.
Caleb aka CNCRW94 posted a video of local CN 507 rolling through Windsor Junction. He chased it and provided some pacing footage as shiny CN 4805 and grimy CN 4725 pulled a few hoppers and tankers along.
Dave aka nbsrfan has long been a practitioner of the pacing shot. Here is his video of a recent NB Southern Railway passenger train, with a nice pacing sequence through Westfield at 4:02 and 4:27 and 5:09.
Nice job, guys!
