Return of the Atlantic?
A group has emerged that advocates the return of the Atlantic passenger train between Saint John, NB and Montreal, Quebec. Their web site is www.aprail.com. It appears to be a private venture out of Quebec at present. There's not a lot of information available on the site, but it's a start. I wish them luck.

Thanks for the good wishes, but I should hasten to say that we are not a private initiative - quite the opposite. Essentially the project belongs to whoever is interested in getting involved and contributing information to the study. If you or any of your readers feel as though they can meannigfully contribute, I encourage you to do so.

Thanks for the clarification, Jeff. I meant private as in "not from government", not private as in exclusive. I should have been more clear in my original post.
