The Winnipeg Free Press is reporting that the Canadian Pacific Railway is moving its headquarters out of the downtown to a location in the Fort Garry Industrial Park.
They were in the Air Canada building downtown as well as 150 Henry Avenue in the north end. It looks like they are moving into the building formerly occupied by a large call centre.
This move affects their customer service division, their IT workers as well as some CP Police. Train operations are of course unaffected.
This is right around the corner from my office. Too bad they won't have trains there. If they still had the Manitoba Sugar spur, they could have watched their own trains roll by!
