An export train, CN 436, is probably arriving in Halifax right about now. Here's a video taken at Painsec just east of Moncton today of the train with CN 5504 as the power.
EDIT: Corrected location... thanks Peter G.

Export Locomotives On The Way
Fifteen EMD export locomotives destined for Egypt (plus one for France) will be passing through in the near future. This video shows them rolling through Guelph, Ontario fresh from the factory on Sunday.
Word has it they will probably pass through New Brunswick on Tuesday or Wednesday. They will pick up the six export locos that have been stored at IRSI in Moncton and then proceed to Halifax to be loaded onto a ship.

Export Train Video
Matt posted a video of CN 436 at Marsh Junction leaving Moncton with the nine export locomotives. The video was taken at about 19:30. Nice use of the car headlights to get some light on the subject!

Export Train Update
CN 436 arrived at Gordon Yard in Moncton at about 15:00. It left Gordon Yard at 19:25 with the same consist, CN 5739, a flatcar, 9 export locomotives, and a trailing flatcar. It will likely arrive in Halifax around midnight.
Phil Ross got a great shot of the train at Lutesville. Click on the photo for the large Railpictures version.

Export Train Update
The export train #436 was due to meet late CN #121 at McGivney. It is due at Pangburn (30 miles west of Moncton) at 13:00. Thanks to Phil Ross for the information.
Export Train
There is a train of export locomotives on its way to Halifax. Train 436 is scheduled to leave Edmundston this morning at 11 AM with CN 5739 leading 9 export locomotives (and two spacer flatcars).
The export units are Freightliner 66954/5/6/7, Fastline 66302, and Direct Rail Services 66431/2/3/4. Thanks to Bruce Hollett for the numbers.
On Monday at 16:36 (Eastern) it went through Belleville, Ontario and it went by Dorval, Quebec at 20:03 (Eastern). At 21:34 it was past Bagot on the Drummondville subdivision, and some estimate it arrived at Joffre around 01:00 this morning.
If it does leave Edmundston at 11 AM, it should be through McGivney around 3-4 PM and into Moncton by 6 PM. It is expected that it won't stay too long in Moncton.
Get your cameras ready!
EDIT: Added details on export units.

Export Train
CN 436 is rolling across our fair province carrying 17 locomotives for export. I'm told the power is CN 2250. They left Joffre, Quebec at 23:45 last night.

Export Locos Coming Through
A train of locomotives destined for export from Halifax is passing through New Brunswick. It was last sighted by Ron Pelletier in Joffre, Quebec at 0830 Eastern this morning with CN 6018 leading a flatcar, 10 locomotives, and another flatcar. "There were some blue GBRf, some green Freightliners and white Euro Cargo Rail".
A history of the train so far:
0125 Taschereau (Montreal)
0638 Lemieux siding, Drummondville sub
0830 Arrived Joffre yard
I believe it should be in Edmundston by 1600-1700 and Moncton around midnight, and Halifax Saturday morning after sunrise. Hopefully we will see some good shots from Halifax!
Oddly enough the train is numbered CN 306, normally reserved for an eastbound freight train. The usual CN train number for export locomotives is 436.

Grab Bag
A CN export train (number 436) is on its way through New Brunswick soon. It left Joffre at 07:30 and should be in Edmundston by about 13:30, then Moncton around 19:30-20:00. All times approximate, of course!Train of thirteen export units by Brockville at 18:20.
The consist was CN 5251 with DRS units 66421 to 66427 as well as SNTF units 060DS01, 060DR09, and 060DR13-16 with a few spacer flat cars.

A "5 pack" of containers derailed at the Port of Saint John Monday and tore up some track. The track remained blocked Tuesday night, with three NB Southern locomotives trapped behind the damage. CN sent a rare train 594 down the Sussex sub Sunday morning, I'm told to get some late containers including the blocked ones. It had CN 9574 with 20 container cars and 14 tank cars.
FREDfm reports that a train hit a truck "just outside Bathurst" yesterday (Tuesday). Fortunately, the 51-year-old driver had minor injuries. "RCMP say the man failed to look both ways when he attempted to cross the tracks".

CN 436 again
Another CN 436 ran through the Picture Province yesterday, bringing 16 more GM export units to Halifax for shipment overseas. The train was headed by CN 2580 and travelled pretty fast:
2007/04/02 18:00 Joffre, PQ
2007/04/03 10:00 Moncton, NB
2007/04/03 11:40 Sackville, NB
2007/04/03 15:30 Halifax, NS

Phil Ross shot the train outside Sackville shortly before it crossed the border.
