As usual there is a Canada Day celebration at McAdam, NB on July 1. NB Southern is not running a special train this year, but replica steam engine #29 will be in the street parade.
Breakfast is scheduled at the station from 08:00 to 10:00 in the restored lunch room, followed by the parade starting at 10:30 (from the Save Easy). A roast beef dinner will begin at 17:00 in the station's dining room.
Expect the NB Southern eastbound freight between 11:00 and 13:00, around the time a chicken BBQ will be in full swing.
