The Daily Gleaner is
reporting that the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada has given its approval in principle for the refurbishment of the train station in Fredericton. Finally! Over the years, I've been so angry at Irving for letting that beautiful building fall apart. However I'm sad that they're tearing down the baggage section. I think they should restore it to the way it was. If Irving had just tried to take care of it from the beginning instead of letting it deteriorate so they could use the land, they probably could have saved that back section. At least they're going to fix the front section though. I can't wait to see it when it's done!
