George Pitarys has written a book on his experiences observing trains in New England and Eastern Canada through the seasons and through his 35 years of observation. You can view more at Railroad Explorer.
George was an operator for Maine Central and for Canadian Pacific, so he has some unique perspectives. Eastern railfans will probably already know him through his contributions to the railfan lists such as Atlantic Rails and Rails NB.
The book has finished printing and was shipped to the bindery. It should start shipping in late November, just in time for Christmas. Read more about Seasons of Trains.
Don't confuse it with a totally different book, Seasons of Steam!
